A wonderful antibacterial, moderately antiviral, antifungal and antiseptic agent. Buy thyme hydrosol of the thymol chemotype if you need a real killer of microbes, bacteria, viruses and infections.
Thyme hydrosol is great for rinsing your mouth with sore throat, tonsillitis, laryngitis or any throat infection. Rinse up to 3 times a day in a diluted form with a high concentration of hydrosol in water.
For colds, flu, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, take 1 tablespoon of a mixture of hydrosol and water in a ratio of 60:40, sweetened with honey, during the acute phase it is allowed every hour during the day no later than 4 hours before bedtime.
Use thyme hydrosol as a prophylactic to prevent infections and strengthen the immune system, mix thyme hydrosol with lemon balm hydrosol, sweet fern and/or echinacea and drink it in a diluted form (thirty milliliters per liter of water) three to four days a week. A good digestive in low dilution or in mixtures, it cleanses the colon and is recommended for use in the colon in the treatment of antibiotic-resistant stomach infections.
For severe acne, impetigo, or skin infections, steam bath with thyme hydrosol; do not use undiluted on broken skin as it will sting.
